Omar Longou

Omar Longou is the Senior Director of Commercial Operations for Spearmint Energy with 9 years of experience in the field of renewable energy. At Spearmint, Omar’s team is responsible for Operations Management, HSE and Cybersecurity Risk Management, and Performance Engineering for their 700 MWh operational BESS fleet. He previously worked for Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE), where he held multiple engineering roles throughout his tenure. Omar holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University.
