Zamiyad Dar is the Senior Director of Energy Storage at Pivot Energy, a market-leading developer, owner and IPP of distributed solar, storage and hybrid projects in the United States. In this role, he leads the strategy, planning, market analytics and optimization of storage and hybrid projects. He is also responsible for equipment sizing, integration and long-term lifecycle optimization of company’s storage and hybrid assets.
He has twenty years of experience in renewables and storage, transmission planning, electricity markets and generation optimization. He has multiple publications on renewable energy and energy storage operation and dispatch in electricity markets. He has previously worked at GE, NYISO, Entergy etc in various roles. Zamiyad holds a Masters and PhD in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
